Thanks Jynx. I agree. There is an article from National Library of Medicine about people from CALD backgrounds often draw strength and comfort from their religion to support mental health. I can tell you this is very true in my case because I was born to an interfaith family (Catholic and Buddhist) but I considered myself Spiritual and not an Athiest. In many ways I truly appreciate the views of our Indigenous people that everything is connected to earth and spirit, we are all connected in an energetic level, regardless of our race, gender or ethnicity or background. When we can learn to respect everything and become selfless and more focused on helping others, it creates a ripple effect and we have a purpose for our existence!
