Re: Red's house

hey @The-red-centaur just read about the market in April - sounds exciting, looking forward to hearing how that goes for you!!

i hear that things have been hard, and it's okay if you need time to figure things out. we're still here for you and thinking of you 💙

Re: Red's house

@rav3n thank you.

I feel detatched lately. My mind has been bringing my past up, things I wish I could keep locked away. I don't know why it's doing that. It's my birthday in a month, maybe that's why.

Re: Red's house

@The-red-centaur that would make sense, birthdays and anniversaries tend to remind us of certain memories and bring up certain unwanted thoughts/emotions too.

the good news is it IS in the past, so when those memories pop up - it's also a reminder of how much you've survived and overcome, how much strength you've built. or at least that's how i like to frame it.

how's your housing situation and supports? and how's your art going?

Re: Red's house

@rav3n my housing and supports are still uncertain. My ndis stuff is a mess. I've been trying not to think about it.

I've been slowly trying to get things ready for my stall. I haven't done any new ones. I have to fix a lot of my paintings, some got quite damaged in my moves last year.

Re: Red's house

@The-red-centaur i've got my fingers crossed for you that things will work out.

the stall sounds exciting! the last few artworks i've seen of yours were scenic ones - do you mostly paint nature/sceneries? do you do other sorts of painting?

Re: Red's house

@rav3n most of my paintings are landscapes.

Re: Red's house

nice! when did you start painting? @The-red-centaur do you do other forms of art too?

Re: Red's house

@rav3n i started painting about 13 or so years ago. I used to pick up the paint brush during inpatient stays, then at about 20 years old I joined a mh art group. Sold my first painting about a year later. I featured in a few local projects in Tasmania before relocating to Perth in 2021. I pursued art a lot more and in 2024 I launched my own brand and working a lot more on creating.

I sometimes like doing various projects, im currently up-cycling some furniture. I have been meaning to try some resin art. I sometimes make props, costumes and cosplays; It's been a while since I've done that tho.

Re: Red's house

oh wowww that's really cool! i love painting too but i'm just not good at it. doesn't take away from the calm it brings me though. @The-red-centaur that's amazing that you've launched your own brand as well, good on you!!

oo the props & costume stuff sounds fun too! and love the up-cycling furniture idea. i've heard resin art is quite fiddly/tricky, but the results tend to look pretty cool.
