Oh I love them @Patches59 - so much detail! Yes I can imagine it's quite time-consuming, but the outcome looks well worth it! Your friends and fam are gonna be getting the coolest cards everrrrr 😍

@Jynx I’m looking forward to seeing the joy (possibly some frustration) on the faces of the other ladies in Card Making Group I’m part of.
hoping to be able to make cards of variety of themes for local fete in October. Will partly depend on cataract removal assessment with ophthalmologist, currently waiting for date etc of the appointment.

Card making is pretty amazing @Patches59 . I've been part of card-making groups in the past, and it's great. Great to connect with others.

Best wishes with your cataracts @Patches59 . I just had one done and am still waiting for new glasses. I've been unable to read, sew etc for a long time.

Hi @Dimity , good to see you. How long till you can get your new glasses?

Nice to see you @NatureLover . I guess it will be about 3 weeks. A week to see the optometrist then a week or two of waiting.
Thanks for asking.
I'll also have to stop procrastinating and order a high intensity reading light.
I did a spot of gardening last week, just in time for today's rain. Are your liquidambars budding yet? It will be nice to see the fresh green.

Thanks @Dimity
Sight in my left eye due to the cataract has gradually been decreasing for last few years.
Vision is ok if things are close. Getting toward stage I shouldn’t be driving.
im feeling nervous about the procedure.
at the same, I’m looking forward to being able to clearly see things on the TV instead of listening to the voices and seeing blurry images on the screen
hoping all continues well for you

3 weeks...does it feel like ages, @Dimity ?
Your memory is amazing - to remember my liquidambars! Thank you. I'm not sure if they're budding - I'll have to check next time I step outside.
Well done on the gardening. I think we might be in for some intense weather coming up.

I've made an appt for an eye test tomorrow @NatureLover so I've set the ball rolling.
@Patches59 I can understand feeling nervous about the op - I had extreme anxiety as I only have the one eye - but it went smoothly. It's a common operation and can make a real difference to quality of life. Hopefully your specialist can set your mind at ease.
It will be nice to get into the garden. I have a bevy of pink snapdragons. The weather extremes seem more pronounced but I'm noticing better warnings of upcoming storms.
