Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

thanks @Bill16  that really means alot.

do you think one day you will settle down and have a family? maybe something to think about for the longer term, when looking for a house too.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

I subscribe to the view that the "too late to do xyz" view applies on our death bed

@Jacques

But I hear you my friend. I know people in their early 20s who seem to have done it all. Depresses me at times.

I think in the end the point is that it really comes down to WHY we do the things we do. The things we value in life should be the things WE WANT to value. I admire your insight my friend.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

depends what you want I guess @Bill16

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Mate that's really all I wanted in life, have a business,a house, family, nice cars @Jacques im just lucky I got a payout, maybe things will go my way from now on

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

that is a good way to think @MDT society does put a lot of pressure on us, we all need to just take a step back and think of ourselves and not what others expect of us. life moves so fast these days. i am so grateful for all i have and been allowed to experiance.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

nice @Bill16 sounds like you have a life plan, what sort of business would you be interested in?

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

That is really what it is about isn't it @Jacques
Experience.
That is life in the end.
Even the smallest stories right up to the big ones.
For example, I once met John Howard (former PM). But I also remember sitting in a chair watching people ice skate in NYC a few years ago on my own. It's a private memory I have locked inside my brain. I prefer it to the one of brushing with fame.
I think I recall my pop once saying to me that he knew Richie Benaut (The former aussie cricket player). But he also raised a family and has us in his memories.

I feel like society has so many things wrong. In the haste of life we need those moments of meaning and quality to ground us.
