@TAB yeah I had enough. I used to go to a cafe or library on hot days but now with covid restrictions they may be shut down over summer.
The man said my house will still be too hot. Will wait a few months then go with either "home clearance" or "appliances online" They have Zip Pay you pay only $20 a fortnight with these outlets no interest. So its doable.
So I'll have aircon for my room and livingroom.
Getting sick of home ownership expenses

even one room can be enough, @Former-Member its best to keeps windows shaded, doors shut, get proper insulation in ceiling. I rent. will never be able to buy, last time tried, they said had to prove I could pay a mortgage that was $100 a week less than rent then they never called back

when I was a kid we'd sleep outside if it was too hot at night @Former-Member lol Saw a tricky version of double glazing once when overseas .. was a window flush with outside of ok thick wall, then a gap, then another window level with inside wall.

Interesting @TAB. Yes the weather was certainly cooler when we were kids, you could go outside in the night air to cool off.
